Two Newly Renovated Attached Townhouses in Central Square at 3 and 5 Watson Street

3 and 5 Watson are two newly renovated (2010) attached townhouse condominiums in Central Square at 3 Watson Street and 5 Watson Street. The premiere residence is 3 Watson Street, which features a driveway for two-car tandem parking and is located on the right side of the building adjacent to an open field, allowing for more air and light.  This residence sold in August 2010 for $775,000. 5 Watson sold in December 2010 for $673,000.

Both townhomes at 3 and 5 Watson Street feature 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and 1700 square feet of living area. Essentially, they are mirror images of one another. The main living level is an open plan and features an unusually spacious kitchen area. Indeed, one can imagine building a study area with bookshelves on one wall here to make the space more functional.

On the second floor one finds a master bedroom with bath en suite. The developer decided to give the master bedroom two spacious closets. This decision limits the functional wall space in the room for furniture. That being said, the higher ceiling in this room makes for a comfortable feeling. Also found on the second floor is a laundry closet for stack washer-dryer, a second full bath and smaller second bedroom.

The third bedroom is found on the third floor.  This spacious room is one of the highlights of each residence and would make for a superb studio.

Also impressive at this address is the finished lower level. The decision to install tile rather than carpeting on the lower level is to be commended, especially given the appealing tile chosen, which as grain-like appearance akin to a wood floor.

As for outdoor space, both 3 and 5 Watson have private, fenced-in back yard spaces. These spaces feature a deck, a patio and an over-sized grassy area. As you can see in the photo here, the outdoor area is quite spacious.

As one would expect for a newly renovated residence, there is a new roof, new systems including central air, new Hardiplank siding, new windows, new doors, new electrical, and new plumbing.
